It has been a hectic period lately, it is time to share a new blogpost with all of you. In this blogpost I will you a little but more about our recent road trip that we made to Frankfurt. It was our first time in Frankfurt and absolutely loved the city, I gave it a nickname ‘Little Manhattan as it has the looks of NYC.
Before heading to Frankfurt it was time to pick up our new Tesla model S at the HQ of Tesla in the Netherlands. As you all know by now I am a Tesla ambassador. This time it was time for us to drive the Tesla model S Dual motor, which is a fast baby with internal upgrades compared to its previous model S. This Model S is in a grey metallic finished with a cool panoramic roof and 20 inch black rims:). In my opinion one of the best configurations that you can choose for a Tesla Model S. The ride to Frankfurt was 4 hours including a supercharge moment . The drive to Frankfurt was absolutely comfortable and fast with the Tesla model S by using the Autopilot and air suspension system which feels like flying over das Autobahn with a top speed.
By arrival we checked in at the beautiful and renewed AMERON Frankfurt Neckarvillen Boutique Hotel located right in the city heart of Frankfurt. The centrally located first-class boutique hotel with urban sauna retreat, restaurant (“Le Petit Royal Frankfurt”) and the “French Bento Bar” is an ideal destination for business people and those who enjoy city breaks. It is within walking distance of the banking centre, museums, the theatre, the Schauspielhaus theatre and the opera house, the famous Shopping Streets Zeil and Goethestraße ( My favorite shopping street of Frankfurt) The interior of the rooms at the AMERON Frankfurt Neckarvillen Boutique combines modern style with a 50s look. This mid-century style, characterized by elegance, sensuality and opulence on the one hand and formal reserve on the other. Ps. The best part is the Spa. We were staying at one of the suites in the Hotel with a spacious set up.
As a guest of the AMERON Franfurt Neckarvillen Boutique I enjoyed the Boutique Sauna Retreat & Private Gym. Relaxing in an exclusive surrounding, lovingly designed by the Italian interior designer Luigi Fragola.
Thanks to a Finnish sauna, a wellness shower, exquisite care products from Penhaligon´s and a relaxation area, I experienced a I enjoyed a zen moment and holistic relaxation for body and soul. For a sporty balance, there is the separate “Private Gym”,
One of the great gadgets that this room had was the tablet. You could plan your things to see and do in there. It also suggested many things that you would have to visit during your stay in Frankfurt such as a visit to the Main Tower which gives you a view over the skyline of Frankfurt. I could also order my room service with the tablet.
The Tesla Model S experience
The Tesla model S is really one of my favorite models of the Tesla range due its design and aerodynamica. Remember that I did a road trip to the South of France last year? I has the best time driving to the South of France with the Tesla model S. It was the Performance model S by the time. Fast as an airplane and comfortable as a 5 star Hotel. Driving to Frankfurt with the Model S was an absolute comfortable and fast travel. The air suspension and autopilot make it possible to drive fast and relaxed. I still think Tesla is markt leader when it comes to electric vehicles and technology. I am a huge fan of the clean, modern, and futuristic interiors of Tesla.
Hoping you are all doing well. It has been a while since I have written something on the blog, but it has been a very hectic period lately. I went straight from my Paris press trip to the Helsinki press trip which I will tell you more about in this blogpost!
A couple of months ago my team and I were contacted by mail to discover Finland in particular Helsinki in the December month.Of course this was an amazing offer and we said yes without any hesitation, as I have never been in Finland before. Some of you might know that I regularly have visited Sweden and Denmark which is near to Finland. Helsinki has always been on my bucket list and the moment was finally here to discover Helsinki this month. Of course we packed quite heavy as we were told It can be very cold in Finland around this time of the year. I had to organise this very well as I came back from my press events and shootings in Paris, double checks!
After a decent flight of 2,5 hours from Amsterdam to Helsinki we arrived with great excitement! Luckily this trip was planned in details by the My Helsinki residence and were guided to the Tourist information desk to pick up our week schedule with tickets, information and so on. It was time to take a train to the city centre where our #Myhelsinkiresidence apartment was waiting for us. Good thing was that the public traffic in Finland is absolutely easy and organized. First impressions of Helsinki were very positive as the mentality of Finished people is open and kind. The second things that really got my attention is the it really has a clean infrastructure, no cigarettes on the streets, no dirt or homeless people. Finland is really active on climate change and really takes its measurements to fight this world problem, by creating awareness to the Finish society, support the Vegan lifestyle and co2 neutral property projects. Our apartment was located right in the city centre with a beautiful balcony overseeing the beautiful city centre of Helsinki. The fridge was filled with typical products of Finland which were cheese, yoghurts and Salmon! Finland is known for its independence of food and other nature products. Almost everything is made in Finland from Almond milk to candy. Funny fact did you know Finland is known for its candy? Did you know that Finland is know for their coffee moments with their typical pastry called: Korvapuusti. This known pastry is sweet and usual to eat with coffee moments which are around 4 times a day. Ps. We all might use the Nespresso machine but in Finland they are focused on filter coffee which is actually not bad, they are really focused on the quality of the coffee as there are even coffee corners with South American coffee or African coffee.
Helsinki really gave me rest and peace as no one is constantly on its phone or rushing like we generally do in Europe. Everybody takes its time to actual connect with each other and be itself. The Finish government supports individuality which means don’t be afraid to show your real selves, whether this is your sexuality , taste or state of mind. I think this is a great thing as most other country governments see you as a number.
Sauna’s are a big thing in Finland. As it can get quite cold in Finland a Sauna is the perfect therapy for this after a day of work, or during your lunchbreak. Sauna culture
Sauna bathing is an essential part of Finnish culture and national identity. There are only 5,4 million Finns but 3,3 million saunas. Public saunas used to be common in bigger cities but now that most new apartments have sauna off their own, public saunas have decreased dramatically in number. There are only a couple remaining. As a sense of community is becoming a more and more important part of new urban culture, many new public saunas are being planned. We were invited to spend a day at a Sauna in Helsinki which is owned by actor Jasper Pääkkönen known for tis role in the hit series ‘Vikings’. The Sauna is called Löyly (meaning the steam that comes when you throw water on hot stones in a sauna) The site is unique. Being less than two kilometers away from the city centre, it is very central but at the same time the landscape is like in the outer archipelago. The plot is situated in a future coastal park that will be part of a broader “Helsinki park” connecting the capital city to the sea. The building was designed to be slim and elongated so as not to cut the narrow park strip. The architectural idea is simple: there is a rectangular black box containing the warm spaces that is covered with a free form wooden “cloak”. Instead of being mere decoration, the sculptural structure made of heat treated pine has several functions. It provides people with visual privacy. However, the lamellas don’t limit the sea view from inside it, rather they function like venetian blinds and blocking the views from outside. When the wooden building turns gray, it will become more like a rock on the shoreline. There are three different saunas that are all heated with wood: a continuously heated sauna, a once heated sauna (that is heated in the morning before the sauna is open and stays warm all evening) and a traditional smoke sauna – a true rarity in an urban sauna. This is how you can experience all sorts of Finnish Löyly during a single visit. Between the saunas there is spa area and a fire place room to relax in, between or after sauna bathing. You can swim in the sea and in the winter there is an “avanto”, the hole in the ice for winter swimming – a popular hobby in Finland and our office name as well. Which I obviously dit not do :).
Architecture and Art.
Helsinki is a modern, pocked-sized European city known for design and high technology. Helsinki’s attractive an unique character comes form its proximity of the sea, as well as its location between the east and west. Helsinki is a globally unique art nouveau city with its astonishing 600 buildings that represent this style – a number exceeding that of Barcelona or Brussels, to name a few. These architectural highlights are becoming increasingly popular amongst both tourists and the city’s residents. and the city’s diverse and multi-layered architecture invites you to take a stroll and share your pictures on social media. When walking through Helsinki one notices the lack of old landmarks. There is no historic core, old town or remains of a fortress or a medieval city center, like in other cities along the Baltic Sea or in Scandinavia. Helsinki’s story is based on its modern capital city status and on its location at the sea, the Gulf of Finland. Helsinki came about as the result of royal and imperial politics.
In Helsinki we discovered many things of food level. I try to eat vegetarian as much as I can and noticed right away that most people in Helsinki are Vegetarian. In al supermarkets there is such a big offer of vegetarian or Vegan products, all produced in Finland. This was really a paradise for me. I could tell on and on about food, but I think there is only one thing that I really think I should highlight. We had diner at one of Helsinki’s eldest Restaurants with a Michelin holding status called Olo. Olo has been rewarded with a Michelin star every year since 2011. They pamper their guests throughout the evening by the Market Square in Helsinki, with a tasting menu prepared with love. The Scandinavian menu is built around Jari Vesivalo’s childhood memories, with a modern and international nuance. The service was outstanding so was the food. We had a personal waiter with us all evening long and their knowledge of the dished was very professional. The experience its just great as you really enjoy your evening and enjoy the dished. For your information we were there from 6:30pm until 11 :). I strongly recommend Olo during your future visit in Helsinki.
I could tell so much about Helsinki as it really was one of my best made memories made this year. The vibe, culture, environment and so on really are amazing. From food to sauna’s I had one of the best experiences. Due time shortage we were not able to explore the whole city, but I am sure I will return in the NewYear. I strongly recommend Finland and Helsinki in general to visit as it really has a lot to offer. If you have any questions feel free to reach out. I want to thank the Helsinki team for taking care of this trip and all the tips and support during my trip!
As I travel around the world I always try to find the Hotels with the best location and comfort..…. So when traveling to Dusseldorf this time I decided to stay at the Intercontinental Dusseldorf. They invited me to try out one of their new suites as they just did a major renovation. The timing was perfect as I was planning to do some Christmas shopping in Germany, plus the Intercontinental is located on the main shopping street called königsallee. I totally loved the neighborhood!
My room was really spacious although I they booked the ‘Executive room’ for me. That huge bed was amazing to just rest in after long days of photo shoots, meetings and shopping. And no, they didn’t have a complimentary Hermes goodie bag on the bed, that was some shopping I left there, haha.
There was plenty of space in some really original storage designs that I assume vary from room to room. My room actually had an extra room which was the walk-in closet, including a seat to select my outfits on a comfortabel way.
(The Walk in closet was a big plus)
The bathroom was very spacious including a tub, rainshower and a seperate shower plus a spacious sink to storage all my beauty products. A big plus was the huge mirror which is rare in Hotels these days.
Thank you for having me Intercontinental Dusseldorf!
Hoping you are all doing well! As you all might have seen i am traveling often for my work. Before booking or planning to go to events shootings and so on, I always check the most fast way of transportation. As Paris is one of my favorite cities to go to and the city where most of my clients are located it’s obvious that i choose to travel the fastest way. I will tell you more about this way of travelling in this blog
First of all traveling with the Thalys high-speed train has many pro’s, especially when you travel in the Premium class of thalys like i did. This includes more spacious seats and has own catering. What i like about traveling by train is that it allows me to work in silent as i can work on my laptop and have phone calls without disturbed. Depending on the time you will get either lunch, diner or breakfast serviced. There is also an own bar located in the cabin.
The pro’s are:
Spacious seats ( Offers more privacy)
A taxi can be booked by one of the hosts for the arrival destination
Daily papers and magazines are there to read ( Vogue etc)
It’s incredible how fast this way of traveling is as it is only 2 hours from my hometown to Paris, the Thalys goes 300km a hour directly to Paris. You will arrive in gare du nord station which is located in the heart of Paris. By Airplane it takes way more time as the airpot is located 1 hour from Paris city centre and has many custom stops.
If you are planning to visit Paris i would suggest to go with Thalys as it is fast, comfortable and drives multiple times a day to Paris. The prices are fair and is worth it. I want to thank Thalys for this oppertunity.
Hoping you are all doing well. I just returned from my trip to Paris which was amazing as always! I always love to go to Paris in Spring and fall, one of the most beautiful seasons in Paris. Anyway let’s go straight to the subject, my Hotel experience in Paris. For this trip i had the opportunity to stay at the 7 Hotel in Paris, a 4 star Boutique Hotel.
A Romantic Boutique Hotel near the Latin Quarter The Hotel Seven offers guests a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the city with its elegantly furnished patio. The cozy wooden-decked inner courtyard features comfortable rattan sofas and armchairs ideal to enjoy a morning coffee, a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap at the end of your long Parisian day. I like that this Hotel is something different from ordinary Hotels, the interior is so modern and the rooms are all different so non of the rooms has the same interior. BIG PLUS the rooms with the star ceilings, it is so elegant and peaceful and makes you relax. The beds are absolutely comfortable and have an overload of pillows which makes it extra comfy!
Even the walls are designed with lights in it which gives the room a very luxurious And romantic touch. I mostly get annoyed by the small bathrooms in Hotels as they are mostly designed for 1 person. Well, In the 7 Hotel there is plenty of space for 2 persons in the rooms. My room had a HUGE rain shower behind the bed with 2 entrances with individual sinks, one for him and one for her. One other aspect that i like about the 7 Hotel is the location. Location is EVERYTHING in Paris and any other city in the world. The metro is right on the block and there are plenty of Ubers to catch in this hip neighborhood. (The Louvre is 10 min by Metro)
The breakfast in the 7 Hotel is excellent ans i have no complains about it. I choose to have breakfast in bed as i like to wake up slowly on my trips without company. You can honestly order anything you like and they will check if they have the products in house to prepare the meal! Conclusion: This Hotel is definitely worth booking as you check the comfort, location and luxury touch. The prices are good and really meet the comfort that you get.
As you might have seen, I picked up my brand new Mercedes C-Class last week at the Mercedes-Benz Mechelen dealership. I have the amazing opportunity to test this car for a period! Starsky Belgiummade this opportunity possible as a known PR agency for known media figures and Celebrities. Big thanks.
My first impression of the C- Class break was actually very positive as i am personally not a big fan of station wagons. But Mercedes nailed it to make this break so sportive and state of the art because of the modern body game. The C-Class has been on the market for while but it has recently been updated ( Face lift) with some cool features. First thing you will see is the amazing LED laser lights and the enormous front which make this car a true’Beast‘.
It has been a week now that i am driving the C-Class and i absolutely have no complaints neither things that I would change about this car. It is efficient, dynamic and elegant in the same time. I named some favorite features below.
Command Online (Live traffic NAVI) (Handy to escape jams)
Full digital cockpit (It gives such a powerful and sportive view)
360 Degrees parking camera ( It parks itself)
I could go on and on about the things I like about the car, which I will do for sure in the coming weeks but now it’s time for you to check some photo’s.
I hope everyone is having a great summer and is enjoying the travel season. I just travelled back to the French Provence to enjoy time with my friends and some business. Honestly if you never been to the Provence I would strongly recommend you to plan it asap. The Provence is even more beautiful and less commercial then the French Riviera. During my holiday here I was lucky to be invited by the 5 star premium Hotel La Bastide de Gordes. This Hotel is completely redone and opened its doors to the public in 2017. The Hotel has an amazing view in the Valey of Gordes and uses the beauty products from Sisley Paris. I had the oppertunity to explore the Spa combined with a lunch and overnight stay. Let’s start with the Sisley Spa.
If you book a treatment at the Spa, you can enjoy the relaxation area which offers many facilities including:
Outdoor care and treatments, on a private terrace,
An exceptional terrace overlooking the Luberon valley,
A beautiful indoor pool,
A fantastic hammam,
A rest area,
A tea room,
A functional and well-equipped fitness room.
Lunch at L’Orangerie
After the Spa i was invited with my team to have lunch at L’Orangerie which is runned by a Chef with three Michelin stars. ( Promising to be very good)! La Bastide de Gordes’s Orangerie restaurant serves meals in typical Provencal style in a bistro setting with a selection of Mediterranean products. Alternatively, you dine in the open air on the Orangerie’s veranda. The restaurant has a unique ambiance thanks to its ceiling with exposed beams, large windows and the surrounding greenery, all in keeping with our 5 Star Luxury Hotel’s reputation. We started the Lunch with a class of champagne followed with an Octopussy starter. This actually had a great taste and it was my first time that i ate octopussy. The second meal was a sea bass with traditional seasonal spices, for me it was to much spices as the flavor of the Salmon was completely gone. The dessert was lovely as it was traditional French pastry, i am telling you this was amazing. ( See Photo’s). Lunch at L’Orangerie guarantees a pure gastronomic treat.
Little snacks before starting with the entree .
The lunch included a starter Octopussy with local vegtables from the French Provence. This was a very tastefull starter as the octopus had a crispy touch. After that we got a sea bass which was finished with local spices and and local vegtables aswell. The dessert was a cake with a vanille inside which was heaven on earth to be honest! The texture was soft and it just melt on your tongue. And ofcourse we finished this dessert with a lovely espresso.
The view & Conclusion
The view from the Spa and L’Orangerie is just outstanding. It has so much peace and it gives you this extra feeling of privacy. The staff at the L’Orangerie bistro is on a next level and really wants to you give you an outstanding experience. You can really notice that they know what dishes they are serving and which wine could fit with the dish you are eating. We really had the best view from our table and I personally could not have wished for more. See the photo’s below for more view impressions at L’Orangerie and the Sisley Spa. My overal experience was good, the lunch was very nice and the staff there really did a good job. However i did notice that the management here has really problems with communication and satisfy customers. They do try to charge you for several things which are not really common such as welcoming drinks. Apart from that the staff in the Spa was not the best in hosting guests or welcoming you. ( This must change as customers are paying big money for the Spa and a Hotel room). A member of my team is a resedential in this village and was not treated in the best way. But overal this was just a small issue we did enjoy our day together.
Last week i made a visit to Stockholm for some press events and business meetings. One of the events was Brilliant minds a very known event, but more about this soon. Finding a Hotel is always a struggle for me as i am picky on location etc. Prior to a big event such as Brilliant minds in Stockholm most Hotels can be fully booked or overpriced. But i managed to find this very beautiful luxurious Hotel in Stockholm.
Elite Hotel Carolina Tower recently opened the doors to the public, one of the most luxurious Hotels of the Elite of Sweden Group. The first of its premium-brand properties due to be rolled out in key locations in Sweden. The Carolina tower by Elite Hotels of Sweden feuture the latest intelligent room technology including a flat screen smart TV and indoor closet lightning.
Luxury features include a super comfortable XL sized bed, rainfall shower and a big mirror in the bathroom. The shower products are al from Rituals. The overal look in the room is completed with oak flooring and finely detailed with velvet interior pieces. The room also includes a Nespresso machine to start the day right!
The energetic city life of Stockholm is just a sneek outside of your window, if you peak down from your chair or bed you can spy the highway and a beautiful skyline view of the city. Ps. my room was located on the 15th floor. On the 16th floor is a very modern fitness and a sauna/spa spot surrounded by glas to see the amazing view over the city. After a long day of meetings and events this was my spot to be zen and enjoy a silent moment for myself. The great thing about the Hotel is that the rooms are entirely soundproof and the windows let in allot of light but no noise. This is all beneficial for a great nightrest and a break from the croud down there. Elite Hotel Carolina Tower is easy to reach by metro ( 5 minutes from city centre) or 10 minutes by bus.
The Hotel includes a great Restaurant which is called Haga Bottega. The new Mediterranean-and Italien restaurant situated in Stockholm’s most growing and beautiful community Hagastaden. It is located on the ground floor next to the reception. Haga Bottega serves traditional Italian dishes combined with Mediterranean creations for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. It has a very modern but vintage look which makes it very comfortable and welcoming. They offer a wide range of healthy dishes including several vegetararian ones. The best thing is that they also have a cocktail bar with almost every cocktail available. The ambiance is perfect as you can choose to sit more private or central. The service is asolutely great as the staff truly loves to have a personal talk and wants to make sure your comfi. Haga Bottega is the best option to have a diner as the restaurants near the Hotel are more fast food ketens.
You can find more information about Haga Bottegahere
The sunset is just breathtaking and you can enjoy it from the comfort of your bed if you’re not, like me taking a moment of Photos! 🙂 . This is truly a lovely hotel for your weekend getaway, whether it’s for shopping, a citytrip or a break from the working life. I had a great stay in the Hotel as it has a perfecty balanced ambiance and so much comfort and luxury to offer.

Hope you are all doing well! Sorry for not posting new blogposts, but my travel schedule is crazy at the moment. That’s also the reason why this blogpost is about the ‘Thalys’ the high-speed train. In collaboration with Thalyswe booked a press trip to Paris. As most of you know I often visit Paris for business and for the amazing pastries! I have traveled to Paris in every way possible such as plane, car and train. The first two options were not the best. By car it takes you hours and eventually you will get into a big traffic jam in Paris. By plane you will have to check in 2 hours beforehand and you are limited in carry-on luggage. Plus you have to go through customs with all your luggage and be in a line for hours. The Thalys also has customs but they are not active on every train destination. (As train stations are already heavily secured)
The great advantages of Thalys Premium class
Daily papers and magazines ( Catching up with the latest gossips and news)
Taxi service ( The crew can make a reservation for a taxi to pick you up at the destination)
Acces to The Thalys lounges ( A big plus as you can relax there before departure and by arrival to have more privacy and relax)
My departure was from Antwerp- Central station which is a pretty cool station with beautiful architecture. The great thing about traveling with Thalys is that you have to be at the station 15 minutes before departure. It takes about 2 hours to get into Paris from Antwerp with the Thalys. Paris (Gare de Nord) is really central located. The whole trip to Paris was very relaxed, the catering was good and I could work on my laptop in all privacy. By arrival in Paris the taxi was waiting for us as Thalys booked our taxi in advance. I can really recommended this as it saves you time and stress
The catering is actually pretty good as Thalys offers a wide range of healthy dishes. In the train itself there is also a bar where you can buy snacks or drinks in case you want to stretch your legs.
I want to thank Thalys for the press trip in Premium class and the great service.
If you are planning to visit Paris click here to see Thalys tickets.
As you have seen in my last blogpost i was in Stockholm last week for Kronaby Sweden. The launch of a new collection and the reveal of the new global ambassador were central in this trip! What i want to share with you in this blogpost is the amazing Hotel that hosted me during my business trip in Stockholm. The Nobis Hotel which is one of the best premium Hotels out there. Nobis Hotel is located in the very heart of the city centre. The perfect place for international business travellers and gourmet seekers. The hotel is a living space where the scenery is designed for each moment of the day.
Upon arriving at the Nobis Hotel there was a welcoming gift waiting for me from the Kronaby family. A brand new watch from the new collection for 2018! I first thought it was a gift from the Nobis Hotel as it really matched the interior lol..:)
( The Room)
The spaces which are really a highlight in this Hotel are the lobby and the gold bar. The bar is in a black and gold theme and has mirrors throughout the whole space, which makes it very cool! The lobby is something completely different, it represents silence and peace as it is full with daylight. The interiors are not loud, flamboyant or self-righteous, but toned-down and discreet.
( Arsante of Sweden document bag)
The fully equipped gym has daylight and views over the atrium. Walls are held in light colours with turquoise curtains overlooking one of the two courtyards of the hotel. I started my mornings in the gym to maintain my routine that i have back home, and would finish it with a sauna session to start the day off right.
The relaxation area is equipped with both dry and steam sauna in white carrera marble. Facial treatments and massages are available for guests staying in the hotel and initially held in the guest rooms. What i loved about my own room is the fully marble bathroom. It looked absolutely luxurious and timeless and it gives you this spa feeling with luxury products from Byredo.
I would really recommend this Hotel if you are planning to come to Stockholm. It has so much comfort and luxury to offer for a city trip.
